Here’s the first of the published before and after shots from Full Throttle Fitness.

In just 6 short weeks, already super-fit Lauren transformed herself.  Doesn’t she look fantastic!!

Lauren didn’t lose much weight on the scales, but lost 24cm from the 5 measurements taken of her body, and the changes in her shape and definition are obvious.  Lauren did this during the traditional ‘party season’ as well which just goes to show, that you don’t have to put on weight over the holiday period as many of us assume will happen.

In the meantime, why not have a go at this quick Home Workout which was one very similar to a training session Lauren completed during Full Throttle Fitness.

Choose a ‘cardio’ activity such as cycling (indoor/stationary) running (outside or treadmill) stair climbing (indoor or out) body weight exercise like burpees, mountain climbers etc.

For each ‘hard’ effort, you must go as hard as you can for the given time, even if that means that you slow down by the end of each repetition.  Do not save or pace yourself for this workout to be most effective.  It’s short and oh so sweet!!

Warm Up for at least 7 minutes with a couple of 30 second hard burst in the last few mintues. Then:

30 seconds hard-that is-flat out

45-60 seconds easy-keep moving, but really slow down and recover

Continue in this fashion for 10-20 minutes depending on your fitness level and the time you have available.  Don’t go longer than this for this type of session unless you have a reasonable fitness level already.

Cooldown for a few minutes with easy movement and all over stretching.

This type of interval training is so much more effective than easy paced cardio.  You’ll burn heaps more calories and fat and also improve your body composition much more quickly.
